In Carmel Valley, everything is green.
The hills.
The trees.
Our daughter’s desire to explore the outdoors.
It all feels new. Like California’s been old and dead for far too long. And now everything’s awake, as if the West Coast’s winter is really a special kind of summer.
Today, our girl child wanted to be “outside” at all times. The cold didn’t stop her. She’s got nordic blood. She frolicked, while the rest of the Western World shopped. According to our future Au Pair, Black Friday is even big in Spain.
But here the only deals we found were in the clear blue sky, the sleeping vegetable garden, and the whisper of the chilly air on pink cheeks, little perfect hummingbird kisses. Frolic Friday was glorious.
She’s darling! And my Cupcake has the same dress. (Love me some Target! 🙂 )
Love it!!! I also got an amazing similar one from TJ Max it’s from the Heirloom brand. Love the vintage Christmas sweater look!
